Installing a Vehicle Fixing Kit in your vehicle allows the Passport Safe to be secured in the vehicle.
Once the Vehicle Fixing Kit is installed bolt the Docking Station to it.

4: Two types of vehicle fixing kits.
Vehicle fixing kits are available in two styles for both the Passport Safe (mk2 smaller) and Hide Away Safe (mk3 larger).

Depending on the vehicle type and where in the vehicle the Vehicle Fixing Kit is installed depends which of the two styles is used.
Please note...
Not all vehicles can have a Vehicle Fixing Kit installed in it but that does not matter because we have another high security solution we designed for the under cover police in 1996 and are still using today February 20, 2020 to secure the Passport Safe (Hide Away Safe) in all vehicles named Shroud and Cable.

5: Steel Vehicle Fixing Kit.
Steel Vehicle Fixing Kit is manufactured from 3mm thick Steel and powder coated black.
The vertical backing plate, as you can see in the following picture, is fitted with m5x8mm high tensile clinch studs with shake proof washers and high tensile nuts to match the existing fixing holes in the Passport Safe Docking Station.

The clinch studs are attached to the steel backing plate by pressing them through the Steel under high pressure, making the back of the steel backing plate smooth.
The advantage of this manufacturing technique is.
Having no nuts on the outside of the steel backing plate ensures if a thief does break into a vehicle fitted with a Vehicle Fixing Kit there are no nuts they can undo to remove the Passport Safe.
Depending on the vehicle make, model, year and type depends where the Vehicle Fixing Kit is installed eg.
- in the boot - Sedan
- back of a Hatch Back
- in the rear of a 4 Wheel Drive or Station Wagon

6: Marine ply Vehicle Fixing Kit.
When a Passport Safe needs to be secured:
- in the boot under the parcel shelf - Sedan
- flat to the floor in the boot
- under the front seat
We use a piece of 18mm thick Marine Ply.

No matter which Vehicle Fixing Kit you purchase THEY DO NOT INCLUDE a Docking Station.
If you intend to install the Docking Station included with each Passport Safe in your house, apartment, office, factory, caravan or motor home and you also purchase a Vehicle Fixing Kit you will need to purchase another Docking Station to be fitted to the Vehicle Fixing Kit.
